Habitats by Kat (HBK), a women-led travel community, has announced the sell out of their inaugural group trip to Morocco in January 2024. The 8 day experience is focused on exploring the diverse landscapes and cultures of Morocco while networking with other entrepreneurs in the travel industry. With only 14 spots available, the trip filled up within the first few weeks, being marketed through virtual meetups and the HBK community.
"We are thrilled with the response to our first group adventure," said Kat Friedman, founder and CEO of HBK "It's a testament to the need for more entrepreneurial-focused travel experiences. So many people are looking to travel independently but still want the safety and camaraderie of doing it with others. Our community provides that."
The Morocco trip itinerary included stays in cities like Marrakech and The Sahara, as well as visiting Ouzoud Waterfalls, North Africa's highest multi-tiered waterfalls. Activities were curated to be culturally immersive while also prioritizing wellness, nature and connecting with locals.
"We are SO excited to experience Morocco with HBK," said Shannon, one of the trip participants. "Morocco has always been on my bucket list, but I was always a little nervous to go by myself, this was the perfect opportunity."
The sell out of the Morocco trip shows the growing popularity of the HBK travel community since its launch in 2019. With a focus on growth, empowerment and forging connections between female travelers, the community has already grown to over 50 members across the US. Additional group trips are currently being planned and destinations will be announced soon.
Samantha Heyer, Co-Founder of HBK said, "This is just the beginning for HBK. Our goal is to redefine what group travel looks like by centering entrepreneurs' needs to include growth, networking, and experiences. The response to our Morocco trip shows there is a hunger for this approach. I'm excited to see how the community continues growing globally."
